So who do I play with, when and where?
The musical project I have been involved with longer then anything else, and also where you can catch me most regularly is with Chukale. Chukale is an Afro-Cuban Salsa ensemble that was born in 2005 by percussion Maestro Gustavo Cereijo. Chukale has held regular club residencies over the years at venues such as Barsoma, Alhambra, Uber, Casablanca and Cloudland. As well as these residencies Chukale has performed at many festivals and played at many venues all over the country.
2011 saw the launch of Chukale's debut album Expedition partly recorded in Australia and partly in Cuba, and features some of Cuba's best and most legendary musicians.
At the moment Chukale performs every Thursday night from 9.30pm at Cloudland and during May, June and July will also be performing every Wednesday night at Brisbane's Treasury Casino in the Livewire Bar.

Another band I have regularly worked with is E.M.O. (Enthusiastic Musicians Orchestra)

I recently attended the Byron Bay Bluesfest with the lovely Emily Nelson and great friend Jason Smyth-Tomkins. Highlights from this festival for me were Earth Wind & Fire, Trombone Shorty and Maceo Parker. Here are a few pics I snapped on my phone -
